Vibrational Instability
Archiv Massiv, Spinnerei, Leipzig
18 May - 15 June 2019

A Pilgrimage into Hazard
A D minor sharpened by bones cracking and hissing
A Development Plan
A Reprisal of toxins and and overpopulation

After a millions of repetitions rewind and repeats
The Dodo held me accountable for:
The Ostrich Syndrome
A delayed reflex
A rainbow in greyscale
Unsent maydays

A vibrational instability caught the corpses as they fell
We said ok
To the banal will
And the hands
Hanging like empty gloves spoke in signs:
REQUISCANT IN PACE

Chorus
Subwoofer sound installation
3.50 min played at intervals, 2019

>> Please listen through headphones or a subwoofer

In this exhibition raw materials, abstract visions and unsettling messages engraved on concrete come together, bound by a droning sonic element: the Chorus. Composed by layers of recordings of "silent" environments processed through a synthesiser, this sub-frequency sound work develops into a dark, subtle and almost physical presence, that appears and disappears at irregular intervals

The poem Vibrational Instability, written by E. Lotti Astolfi in 2018, has been the reference point for the creation of the works and exhibition. The text acts as a background landscape, with a retrospective voice reflecting on the human failures in the face of an extinct world.
